Project Consultant (PCS)

What do you do?

Every day, I am in contact with CEOs of many different companies in different industries. Before I contact them, I analyze and research the industry and the company to find out all I can about them, and I find out why and how an Interactive Brochure can add value to their business; which themes they should cover in the brochure and what they can use it for. Then I make a plan to book a meeting with the CEO. When I succeed, it’s great! B2B communication is both challenging and developing, and I find myself getting smarter every day.

Why JS?

Working at JS is hard fun. When I first started at JS, I was trained very professionally, and before long I could see the results. I love the competitive spirit, and I know that I have the tools I need to help me reach my goals and get success. We have a competitive environment but my colleagues are also my friends
– what a great combination.

Flex-Key Account Manager (KAM)

What do you do?

I hold customer meetings with CEOs of businesses in all kinds of different industries. At the meeting, I present our solution – our Interactive Brochure – to the customer and show them how it can help them send a customized message to their recipients. Before I was appointed KAM, I worked as a successful PCS for a while. This is a requirement. When I am not at meetings, I analyze, research and find new companies and contact them to book meetings with them. It’s great to meet so many interesting people and to see so many exciting businesses, and it’s still an absolutely fantastic feeling to get the signature on the agreement and go home with the order.

Why JS?

I have worked at JS for 7 years now. Many of my colleagues have worked here for a long time as well. At JS, we have great possibilities for development – whether you want to go the specialist way or the leader way. I think that the combination of a result-driven culture and a high level of trust and loyalty is what makes JS so attractive. I feel that I am part of JS, and JS has become part of me.

Advertising Consultant (ACS)

What do you do?

A normal day for me consists various kind of tasks. In ad sales, the frame of the day is usually formed of phone conversations with the customers, but we also use email frequently, for example we make offers and answer any questions our customers may have via email. We start many projects weekly and for every project the Project Responsible makes sure to find any background information needed and creates letters for ad sales. After the ad sales phase has ended, they also make sure the project is forwarded to our communication team with all the background information gathered. Reaching the monthly target budget motivates me, because I am quite competitive.

Why JS?

The best and most motivating part of my job is definitely the interesting projects and the interesting people behind them! I have received a lot of information and learned a lot about the various parts of our society. I have come as close to my dream job as a journalist as I think it is possible without the education in journalism. This job requires you to be social which also means happy and talkative colleagues. In addition to that, you get to (and have to) be at least a little creative in this job. Some of my colleagues have become close and good friends to me.

Maria Sainio, at JS Suomi from 2015

Advertisement Designer (ADD)

What do you do?

I design ads for the Interactive Brochure, very often based on the advertiser’s ad material. I make sure that the advertiser approves the ad and that a correct ad is delivered at the right time to the designer. If there is more work than I have time for, I coordinate help from external freelancers. Designing ads for so many different companies is great fun, and working with tight deadlines matches my productive mindset.

Why JS?

I am rather alone in my function, but I am never alone in the company. The JS atmosphere is quite special. I have never worked in a company like this before where the competitive spirit is so high, but at the same time management and colleagues are ready to go the extra mile for you to get success.

Merja Valkeejärvi, hired in 2014

Project Leader (PL)

What do you do?

I lead the design and copywriting processes of the Interactive Brochure. I lead the customer through the process and advise them about the selection of themes for the text, photos and design – up to the point when the final design is ready for approval. I am in close contact with the customer, and I get a unique insight into their company and culture. It’s a thrill to help customers stand out with a great Interactive Brochure.

Why JS?

The product is great, and the communication tools that we have to create the product so that the customer remains in focus are fantastic. The tools help us work in a perfect combination of structure and creativity when creating the Interactive Brochure for the customer. In addition, we have a great atmosphere in our team and in the office – at JS, I feel at home.
